Finnish Public Transport Association
We are a co-operation organisation for public transport authorities and within the industry. Our task is to influence important issues concerning public transport. We spread public transport know how and increase knowledge. We regularly arrange conferences and meetings on current issues.
We are a member of UITP, Finnish Road Safety Council and Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce, and we also are a co-operation member of Linja-autoliitto, which is an association for bus operators.
Members
Our members are 12 public transport authorities; Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL), cities of Hämeenlinna, Joensuu, Jyväskylä, Kouvola, Kuopio, Lahti, Lappeenranta, Meri-Lappi, Oulu, Pori, Raasepori, Salo, Tampere and Turku.
The operations are financed through membership and service fees, as well as through our own income in the form of fees for attending conferences. We reserve funding for projects case by case and according to the annual planning.
