Members

Our members are public transport authorities; Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL) and cities of Hämeenlinna, Joensuu, Jyväskylä,  Kouvola, Kuopio, Lahti, Lappeenranta, Meri-Lappi, Oulu, Pori, Raasepori, Salo, Tampere and Turku.

We also have co-operation members, supporting members and some honorary members.

Our members organise public transport that transported over 460 million passengers in 2016 which is over 80 % of public transport trips on road in Finland.

Members

HSL Helsinki regional transport authority 

Helsinki Region Transport (HSL) is a joint local authority whose member municipalities are Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen, Kerava, Kirkkonummi, Sipoo, Siuntio and Tuusula. HSL began its operations in 2010.

Some 370 million journeys are made on HSL’s transport services annually. HSL’s annual operating income is over €640 million, of which ticket revenue accounts for about €330 million (about 46% in 2016). HSL has 373 employees.

City of Tampere

City of Tampere has the public transport tasks in the area of cities or municipalities of Tampere, Nokia, Orivesi, Ylöjärvi, Kangasala, Lempäälä, Pirkkala and Vesilahti. Some 39.8 million journeys are made on Tampere regional transport annually.

City of Turku

Turku Region Public Transport, also known as Föli, is a collaboration between Turku, Kaarina, Raisio, Lieto, Naantali and Rusko and carries about 27 million public transport trips annually.

City of Oulu

Publict transport authority of city of Oulu organises regional public transport in Oulu, Ii, Muhos, Tyrnävä, Liminka, Lumijoki and Kempele. The services carry about 8,8 million trips per year.

City of Lahti

City of Lahti organises public transport in eight municipalities in Lahti region. Some 7,3 million trips per year are made in the Lahti regional public transport services.

City of Jyväskylä

The green  – Linkki – Jyväskylä Region Public Transport buses take care of the local transportation in Jyväskylä, Laukaa and Muurame. Public transportation of Jyväskylä region is organized by the City of Jyväskylä. 7,1 million trips/year.

City of Kuopio

Kuopio Region Public Transport covers the area of Kuopio and Siilinjärvi and is organised By the city of Kuopio. The Vilkku services carry 6,4 million passengers  annually.

City of Joensuu

City of Joensuu has the public transport tasks in the area of Joensuu, Kontiolahti and Liperi – 2,2 million trips are made in it’s public transport services annually.

City of Lappeenranta

City of Lappeenranta organaises local public transport services; which have about 1,2 million trips annually.

City of Hämeenlinna

The city is working as a regional public transport authority in Hämeenlinna, Janakkala and Hattula.

City of Pori

City of Pori is organising regional public transport in the areas of Pori,  Ulvila, Nakkila, Harjavalta and Kokemäki. Local services in Pori are used on about 1,6 miillion trips annually and the total amount of trips on the local and regional services are about 1,7 million trips.

City of Salo

City of Salo relied on commercial services but is currently organising it’s public transport according to public services agreements.
